announcement of the presidential bid by musician and media mogul Youssou
N'Dour. That this is one of the smaller issues in these fraught
contests speaks volumes about their complexity and import.
Followed by a film screening from 6:15 to 7:30 of "Democracy in Dakar," which looks at the involvement of the youth and rap singers in the elections in 2007.
