Summer Undergraduate Research Assistantships

ISERP is pleased to invite applications for its Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Summer research assistants will work one-on-one with Columbia and Barnard faculty on innovative research in economics, political science, international affairs and sociology.  Descriptions of the specific projects to which students may  apply are listed on the Prospective Cohort tab above.

Eligibility 

The program is open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors in good academic standing at Columbia University and Barnard College.

Qualifications  

The program is appropriate for motivated undergraduate students with demonstrated interest in the social sciences. This is an excellent opportunity for students majoring in fields such as economics, political science, sociology, and statistics. Specific qualifications required for each project are outlined in the project descriptions, which may be found in the Prospective Cohort tab above.

Compensation

Research assistants will be paid an hourly wage for their work, and have the opportunity to earn up to $3000 over the course of the summer.
