Early Career Research Awards

The Upjohn Institute requests proposals for Early Career Research Awards (formerly called Mini-Grants). These grants are intended to provide resources to junior faculty (untenured and within six years of having earned a PhD) to carry out policy-related research on labor market issues. The Institute encourages research proposals on all issues related to labor markets and public workforce policy.

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

Each Fellowship supports up to one to two years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the United States. Each award is for up to $25,000 in stipend support (not to exceed $40,000), as well as 50 percent of required tuition and fees, up to $20,000 per year, for one to two years.

Computational Social Science

The Russell Sage Foundation’s initiative on Computational Social Science (CSS) supports innovative social science research that brings new data and methods to bear on questions of interest in its core programs in Behavioral Economics, Future of Work, Race, Ethnicity and Immigration, and Social Inequality. Limited consideration will be given to questions that pertain to core methodologies, such as causal inference and innovations in data collection.

International Visiting Fellowships
