ISERP Increases Grant Applications by 150%
During the past year, ISERP has actively supported the research needs of affiliated faculty. ISERP has increased its grants profile by helping faculty to take advantage of new funding streams made available as part of the federal government’s economic stimulus package. 52 applications have been submitted between July 2008 and June 2009, an increase of 150% over the previous year. !--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if>
The increased activity may be attributed in part to the requests for proposals arising from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ISERP also took advantage of private foundations who have solicited proposals for research on the current economic condition. As of June 30, 2009, nearly half of the proposals were pending–an expectedly high figure given that the volume of grant requests has slowed down the approval procedure.
ISERP is proud to continue working with faculty to promote research in the social sciences.
