Hannah V. Layman

Field Site Operations Manager

Hannah Layman is the Field Site Operations Manager on the Oklahoma Fines and Fees project with Dr. Bruce Western and Dr. Devah Pager, beginning in 2017. The Oklahoma Fees and Fines project seeks to study the effect of legal fees and fines that result from criminal justice involvement. As Operations Manager, Hannah strategically organizes local study operations to include planning and controls for work flow, participant recruitment, team member training, office facility, budget review, information-management, and reporting procedures.

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Oklahoma City University in 2015. While enrolled in university, Hannah completed and internship with the Warr Acres Police Department, and won first place on her research presentation on the comparison between alcohol and marijuana at the Oklahoma Sociological Association’s annual conference. Hannah’s education and work history have given her a unique understanding on the criminal justice system. She seeks to raise awareness, effect change, and advocate for the rights of at risk populations and under-served communities.
