In collaboration with, the FEPS Foundation, IPD will be do research on reforming financial market regulation. This research will cover:

Issues of disclosure and transparency.

Regulating incentives, with particular emphasis on compensation schemes.

Regulating behaviour with special emphasis on introducing counter-cyclical elements into regulation.

Possible institutional innovations, such as a Systemic Financial Stability Commission.
Though we will analyse regulatory needs for different financial actors, we will attempt to make suggestions for equivalent regulations across financial sectors and countries, to prevent or reduce regulatory arbitrage.
