- Tom Ogorzalek, Coordinator
Overview
The workshop on African American Politics and Society is presented by CAAPS and provides a forum for the latest social science research exploring the political, social, and economic conditions affecting black communities and the impact of race on American politics broadly. Bridging the gap between theory and praxis, the workshop strives to present sophisticated, policy-relevant work representing diverse methodological approaches, and to provide a place for the academy to intersect with the community in addressing the concerns of black communities today.
