This grants program supports theory-building and empirical research projects on reducing inequality or improving the use of research evidence. Primary research questions must focus on children or youth within the 5 to 25 age range and should focus on academic, behavioral, social, and economic youth outcomes.

The Washington Center for Equitable Growth is a non-partisan organization that seeks to deepen the understanding of whether and how inequality affects economic growth and stability. Their academic grants program aims to build a portfolio of cutting-edge scholarly research that investigates the various channels through which economic inequality may (or may not) impact economic growth and stability, including both direct and indirect pathways.

W.K. Kellogg Grants Program

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) places the optimal development of children at the center and calls for healing the profound racial gaps and inequities that exist in our communities. They believe in supporting and building upon the mindsets, methods and modes of change that hold promise to advance children’s best interests generally, and those of vulnerable children in particular.

South and Central Asia Grant

Grantmaking in South and Central Asia will support projects designed to promote civil society- led initiatives for conflict transformation and strengthen local and regional capacities for dialogue and peacebuilding across ethnic, sectarian and national boundaries. In partnership with civil society organizations, USIP uses grantmaking to test new ideas and pioneering approaches to peacebuilding efforts through education, training, research, and the media.

Tinker Foundation Institutional Grant

The Foundation’s Institutional Grants program has as its goal the creation of effective policy changes to improve the lives of Latin Americans. Projects should have a strong public policy component, offer innovative solutions to problems facing these regions, and incorporate new mechanisms for addressing these programmatic areas. Activities may include, but are not restricted to, research projects, workshops and conferences related to the Foundation's areas of interest.

Small Research Grants

The Small Research Grants Program supports education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived, with budgets up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to five years. We accept applications three times per year.

Abe Fellowship Program

The Abe Fellowship Program is designed to encourage international multidisciplinary research on topics of pressing global concern. The program seeks to foster the development of a new generation of researchers interested in policy-relevant topics of long-range importance and seeks individuals willing to become key members of a bilateral and global research network built around such topics.

The Social, Economic, and Political Effects of the Affordable Care Act

This Russell Sage Foundation initiative will support innovative social science research on the social, economic and political effects of the Affordable Care Act. We are especially interested in funding analyses that address important questions about the effects of the reform on outcomes such as financial security and family economic well-being, labor supply and demand, participation in other public programs, family and children’s outcomes, and differential effects by age, race, ethnicity, nativity, or disability status.

Peter G. Peterson Foundation Grants

The Peter G. Peterson Foundation's mission is to increase public awareness of the nature and urgency of key economic challenges threatening America's future. The Foundation supports innovative projects, both through grants and special initiatives that partner the Foundation with selected organizations.Organizations wishing to submit unsolicited grant concepts can submit an initial letter of inquiry via inquiries@pgpf.org.
