Research to Reduce Consumer Food Waste in the United States

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is seeking applications proposing cutting-edge transdisciplinary research (integrating diverse disciplines such as behavioral science, psychology, economics, public health, and sociology) to develop, apply, and test innovative and creative community-engaged approaches/methods to reduce household food waste through prevention (i.e., not redistribution) in the United States (U.S.) in real world settings.

Bobst Center for Peace and Justice Dissertation Scholars Program

The Mamdouha S. Bobst Center for Peace and Justice is pleased to announce the launch of the Princeton Dissertation Scholars Program, aimed at PhD students who can contribute to the University’s diversity, broadly defined, including members of groups that have been historically, and are presently, underrepresented in the academy or in particular disciplines. Earth Science Applications: Socioeconomic Assessments

This Earth Science Applications: Socioeconomic Assessments program element seeks to expand research, methodologies, tools, and capacity for assessments of the socioeconomic value from Earth science information for applications, including decision and policy-support issues and operational contexts. This program element solicits proposals for a consortium to develop and manage a set of activities toward these ends. The NASA Earth Science Division (ESD) is organizing this program element, and offices in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are co-sponsoring.

Ethical and Responsible Research

Ethical and Responsible Research (ER2) research projects use fundamental research to produce knowledge about what constitutes or promotes responsible or irresponsible conduct of research and why, as well as how to best instill this knowledge into researchers, practitioners, and educators at all career stages. The Mercury Project

The Mercury Project invites letters of inquiry for research projects that address one or more of the following goals:

1) estimating the causal impacts of mis- and disinformation on online and offline outcomes in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, including health, economic, and/or social outcomes, differential impacts across sociodemographic groups, and quantifying the global costs of those impacts;

Human Networks and Data Science – Infrastructure

Human Networks and Data Science – Infrastructure (HNDS-I). Infrastructure proposals will address the development of data resources and relevant analytic techniques that support fundamental Social, Behavioral and Economic (SBE) research. Successful proposals will, within the financial resources provided by the award, construct user-friendly large-scale next-generation data resources and relevant analytic techniques and produce a finished product that will enable new types of data-intensive research.
