Human Networks and Data Science – Infrastructure

Human Networks and Data Science – Infrastructure (HNDS-I). Infrastructure proposals will address the development of data resources and relevant analytic techniques that support fundamental Social, Behavioral and Economic (SBE) research. Successful proposals will, within the financial resources provided by the award, construct user-friendly large-scale next-generation data resources and relevant analytic techniques and produce a finished product that will enable new types of data-intensive research.

Collaboratory Fellows Fund

The program will award grants to pairs of instructors, one with disciplinary/area expertise and one with data-science/computational expertise, to collaborate on the development and teaching of new material that embeds data or computational science into a more traditional domain or the reverse, embeds business, policy, cultural and ethical topics into the context of a data or computer science curriculum. The new content should use pedagogy, instruction, and delivery methods that are fitting for the specific student cohort.

The Institute for Research on Innovation and Science (IRIS) seeks to fund researchers who will use the IRIS data to address questions about the social and economic returns to investments in research. IRIS seeks to enable fundamental research on the results of public and private investments that support discovery, innovation, and education on the campuses of U.S. universities.
