The Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases program supports research on the ecological, evolutionary, and socio-ecological principles and processes that influence the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases. The central theme of submitted projects must be quantitative or computational understanding of pathogen transmission dynamics. The intent is discovery of principles of infectious disease transmission and testing mathematical or computational models that elucidate infectious disease systems.

Henry Belin du Pont Dissertation Fellowships are designed for graduate students who have completed all course work for the doctoral degree and are conducting research on their dissertation. Dissertation fellows are expected to have no other obligations during the term of the fellowship, to maintain continuous residence at Hagley for its duration, and to participate in events organized by Hagley's Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society. At the end of residency the recipient will make a presentation at Hagley based on research conducted during the fellowship.

The Rockefeller Archive Center's competitive grant-in-aid program provides awards of up to $4000 for reimbursement of receipted expenses for travel and accommodation in conjunction with research conducted at the RAC. The research grants are designed to foster, promote, and support research by serious scholars in the collections located at the Rockefeller Archive Center.

The Melvin Kranzberg Dissertation Fellowship is presented annually to a doctoral student engaged in the preparation of a dissertation on the history of technology, broadly defined. This award is in memory of the co-founder of the Society and honors Melvin Kranzberg's many contributions to developing the history of technology as a field of scholarly endeavor and SHOT as a professional organization.
