Kathleen Cronin-Furman

Postdoctoral Fellow

I write about mass atrocities and international justice. My work has appeared in the International Journal of Transitional Justice, The Washington Post's Monkey Cage blog, The Atlantic, The National Interest, Vox and The New York Times. I also blog at Wronging Rights and Justice in Conflict.

I am spending the 2016-2017 academic year as a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. I received my Ph.D. in political science from Columbia in October 2015. I also have a J.D. (Columbia, 2006) and have practiced law in New York, Cambodia, and The Hague.

My book project, "Just Enough: The Politics of Accountability for Mass Atrocities", looks at when and how justice is delivered for atrocity crimes. It draws on fieldwork in Sri Lanka and the Democratic Republic of the Congo funded by a National Science Foundation grant.
