Lael E.H. Chester is the Director of the Emerging Adult Project. The Emerging Adult Project at the Justice Lab leads action research projects focused on 18-25-year-olds involved in the justice system. We also organize and support the Emerging Adult Justice Learning Community, a collaborative learning environment that brings together researchers from around the country, as well as practitioners, policymakers and advocates from 6 sites (MA, CT, IL, NYC, Washington D.C. and the Bay Area), meeting as a full group twice a year over a three-year period, to bridge research and practice in this new field.
